2012 Showcase Event Announced

On June 30th majority of the Ascendance bands with special guest Your Pain Is Endearing will gather at the Worcester Palladium.  The event will be sponsored by Hurt Reynolds Clothing and Nefarious Realm.  Unfortunately ORWELL could not travel out at said time to join in, and ACARO had already confirmed to plans, though both bands will be represented at the event.  With all Ascendance bands currently working on new material, new music is sure to be heard.

ACARO and WIDOW SUNDAY to Be A Part of the New England Metal and Hardcore Kickoff Party

Just when you thought this years New England Metal and Hardcore Fest could not get any better, announced today is the official pre-party event featuring, THY WILL BE DONELAST CHANCE TO REASONLEGION,DR. ACULAWIDOW SUNDAYACAROCONFORZACONFRONTATIONFORSAKENDESICCATIONSTRIKE HARD, and EYES OF THE DEAD.  The event will take place at the Palladium in Worcester on April 19th with the festival starting the next day.

ANTIKYTHERA Premiere New Music Video

Pennsylvania brutal death metallers ANTIKYTHERA have released a new music video for the song “Element Nexus,” from the forthcoming album ‘Cosmicism.’ Recorded by Len Carmichael (Swashbuckle, The Binary Code) and artwork by Mallika Sundaramurthy of Boston’s ABNORMALITY. The clip was directed by Rich ‘Bebo’ Abraham and can be viewed below:

Formerly known as Her Virgin WombANTIKYTHERA was formed after the members of HVW could not agree on which direction the band’s future writings would take. In early 2011, with a completed lineup, began to immediately play shows and record a three-song demo, which would later become 3 of 7 tracks that make up the band’s ‘Cosmicism‘ release.

ORWELL Sets Out On A 3-day Mini-tour of FREE Shows

ORWELL sets out today for 3 FREE shows throughout their home state of Wisconsin.  The band is currently gigging around on their latest EP, A View of Heaven From A Seat In Hell, which you can “Name your own price” to digitally download it or to purchase a limited edition, hand made, hand packaged tangible CD via their BandCamp.  Currently the band is working on a followup to AVOHFASIH, looking to be released later this year.

Footage of WIDOW SUNDAY Performing Live Available, New Song and Single

WIDOW SUNDAY performed at the Oneonta Theatre in Oneonta, NY, this past Saturday (February 11th) where Kanserous Productions were able to capture the dance metal outfit in action.  You can watch WIDOW SUNDAY open their set with an intro piece that goes straight into a new song, ”The Wave,” below.  ”The Wave,” will appear on their forthcoming EP titled Dance Metal, expected to be released in months to come through Rat Pak Records.  Dance Metal was recorded at The Brick HitHouse with Shane Frisby (Bury Your Dead, Corpus Christi)

Footage was also captured of, ”Forever Sleep“, below, the band has a music video for the track which you can view here.

In recent news, WIDOW SUNDAY just debuted their newest music video for the song “Blood Money,” watch the violence here.  Both music videos for “Forever Sleep” and “Blood Money” were directed by Anthony Jarvis and appear on the band’s debut full length In These Rusted Veins.

WIDOW SUNDAY Premiere “Blood Money” Music Video; Announce Forthcoming EP

Massachusetts dance metal act WIDOW SUNDAY has premiered their music video for “Blood Money.“  “Blood Money” is taken from their 2010 album ‘In These Rusted Veins’, recorded by Shane Frisby at The Brick HitHouse (Bury Your Dead, The Ghost Inside, Adaliah) and mixed by Pete Rutcho at Damage Productions (Revocation, Vanna, Hell Within).

The video features several appearance as WIDOW SUNDAY‘s gang battles another consisting of ACARO members Chris Harrell  (Burn In Silence), Kevin Smith, and Jason Fitzgerald (Overcast), members of Give Zombies The Vote and The Summoned.  The clip was directed by Anthony Jarvis (Times of Grace, The Empire Shall Fall) and written by Brett McCabe.

In other news, WIDOW SUNDAY has once again returned to The Brick HitHouse with Frisby to record a follow to ‘In These Rusted Veins’.  The new EP, titled ‘Dance Metal’, will be released later this year through Rat Pak Records.

FREYA Announces Tour with Letter to the Exiles; Post Second Studio Webisode

This February, FREYA will hit the road  with fellow New Yorkers in Letter to the Exiles (Strike First/Facedown Records) for a short Northeast trek.  Both bands have recently entered the studio to record their respected forthcoming full lengths.  FREYA, who are working on their follow up to 2010′s All Hail The End (Victory), teamed up with producer Jason “Jocko” Randall (The Red Death, If Hope Dies) at More Sound Studios.  You can watch the second webisode from FREYA below:
